When choosing tyres, we do not just pay attention to how long they will last, we are also concerned with the level of noise they will generate. To this end, we conduct a series of tests at irregular intervals in collaboration with various manufacturers in order to choose the most durable and quietest tyres.
Even before the regulation on the use of fully halogenated chlorofluorocarbons entered into force, we had already converted the majority of our refrigerated fleet to alternative refrigerants. All our installations have since been upgraded.
TRANSDANUBIA operates frozen storage with a capacity of 40,000 pallet spaces. More than half of our warehouses already use the environmentally friendly refrigerant CO2, which with a GWP value of 1 hardly affects the world any more. We use waste heat from refrigeration to heat other buildings.
All 4 heating installations are kept in good order thanks to ongoing maintenance. We also arrange for the installations to undergo annual emissions testing so that we can anticipate any deviations immediately. As we replace defective light fittings, we gradually increase our use of exclusively energy-saving lamps. The lighting for our outside facility is fitted with energy-saving sensors that switch it on and off automatically. |
